Missed opportunities by BC Ferries -- $2.3 billion loss to BC economy!
The Union of B.C. Municipalities (UBCM) just issued a report, commissioned by them, analyzing BC Ferries and how the constant increases in fares has negatively impacted the provincial economy over the last ten years. This is a very important study and the type that should have been conducted by the Provincial government years ago!

BC Ferry Coalition Candidates Survey Results
After the lack of discussion about B.C. Ferries and their impact on the Sunshine Coast during the last municipal election, the B.C. Ferry Coalition wanted to make sure the issue was in the forefront of the discussion this year.
The B.C. Ferry Coalition sent the attached survey about the ferries to all of the local candidates, who provided an email address, for positions of Mayor, Council, SCRD and School Board. Out of the 46 candidates who were sent the survey, 16 candidates took the time to complete the survey. We thank those candidates for their efforts and time!
